{"id":189,"date":"2015-07-09T10:17:46","date_gmt":"2015-07-09T14:17:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/london-to-paris.winchcombe.org\/?page_id=189"},"modified":"2015-07-10T09:16:52","modified_gmt":"2015-07-10T13:16:52","slug":"costs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/london-to-paris.winchcombe.org\/index.php\/costs\/","title":{"rendered":"Costs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The costs below detail all the key costs for our trip which are based on 6 people, unfortunately 2 had to drop out at the last minute.<\/p>\n<h2>Ferry to France<\/h2>\n<p>Newhaven to Dieppe &#8211; \u00c2\u00a328pp (per person)<br \/>\nNOTE: if you do a return Newhaven to Dieppe trip it&#8217;s only a few pounds more than the single price.<\/p>\n<h2>Accommodation<\/h2>\n<p>Night 1 &#8211; on boat, free, hardly worth the price of a cabin for a few hours.<br \/>\nNight 2 &#8211; <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/london-to-paris.winchcombe.org\/index.php\/accommodation\/les-chambres-dhotes-du-confiturier-de-malethi\/\">Les Chambres D&#8217;hotes du Confiturier de Malethi<\/a> &#8211; \u00c2\u00a352pp, including evening meal and breakfast.<br \/>\nNights 3&#038;4 &#8211; <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/london-to-paris.winchcombe.org\/index.php\/accommodation\/la-proue-peniche-calyx\/\">La Proue Peniche Calyx<\/a> &#8211; \u00c2\u00a346pp, for both nights including sheet\/towels and cleaning charge, no food included.<\/p>\n<h2>Paris stuff<\/h2>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/london-to-paris.winchcombe.org\/index.php\/accommodation\/bike-storage-in-paris-at-blue-marble\/\">Blue Marble Storage<\/a> &#8211; \u00c2\u00a310pp<br \/>\nTwo single Metro+RER train fares between Paris &#038; Vernouillet-Verneuil and back &#8211; \u00c2\u00a35 each<\/p>\n<h2>Train &#038; Ferry to England<\/h2>\n<p>Train from Paris to Caen &#8211; \u00c2\u00a313pp<br \/>\nCaen to Portsmouth &#8211; \u00c2\u00a341pp<\/p>\n<h2>Total cost<\/h2>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a328 + \u00c2\u00a352 + \u00c2\u00a346 + \u00c2\u00a310 + \u00c2\u00a35 + \u00c2\u00a35 + \u00c2\u00a313 + \u00c2\u00a341<br \/>\n=\u00c2\u00a3200<\/p>\n<h2>Extras and other stuff<\/h2>\n<p>Getting to London by car\/train &#8211; my wife gave us a lift so the only cost was a little petrol<br \/>\nNext time I&#8217;d be inclined to get accommodation in Newhaven or Dieppe.<br \/>\nA return trip to\/from Newhaven-Dieppe would cost \u00c2\u00a37(ish) more, potentially saving another \u00c2\u00a334.<br \/>\nThe night in Lalandelle could be made a bit cheaper if you could eat out for less before you get there, but I wouldn&#8217;t, you&#8217;d miss half the fun of a night with Marie and Thierry.<br \/>\nThe two nights on La Proue could be made \u00c2\u00a370 cheaper by taking your own sheets, duvet covers, towels and doing the cleaning before you leave.
